Clients sign up for outcomes, not process — but process is how outcomes become repeatable. This is how we build and run software at Brysofts, in plain terms, so you know what "working with us" actually looks like.
Discovery comes first
Every engagement starts with the problem, the users, the workflows, and the constraints. For a retail system that means the counter flow, how payments settle, and how stock actually moves. For a platform it means the tenant model, volume, and the data the business needs at the end of every day.
The outcome of discovery is a short written scope: what we build, what we deliberately do not build, and what the first delivery step is.
Delivery runs on visible weekly progress
Engineering works in short delivery cycles with demos, not long silences and one big reveal. You see working features — a checkout with a live payment, an inventory page with real movement — every few days. Risks are tracked as visibly as completed tasks, and scope changes are a normal decision, not a fight, because the baseline and its cost are written down.
Launch is the start, not the end
Software fails after launch more often than at launch. Every system we ship into production includes deployment, monitoring, backups, security updates, and a real support response during business hours. On a Kenyan retail calendar, "business hours" includes Saturdays at till — because that is when reconciling actually breaks.
Ongoing support is a separate, explicit agreement. In practice most of our work lives there: a store adds a delivery channel, a merchant changes payment providers, a platform gains a new client.
Why a small team works
There are three of us by design — and this is not a resource constraint, it is the model. The person who designed the architecture is the person shipping the code and is the person who answers the call afterwards. No handoffs across offices, no "it worked on my machine", no support team reading a ticket with no context.
If that kind of partnership suits your next build, tell us about the project — we'll respond with a clear next step.
